Although March is nearly over it is a month with much to celebrate. Spring is right around the corner for those of us growing weary of the colder season and it is Grandmother’s Birth Month which we like to celebrate in different ways each year. Grandmother is the wonderful Spirit Guide that graces our Daily, Monthly and Yearly Focus as well as the Monthly Evenings with Grandmother. This week she has kindly agreed to share her birth year and date with us for the first time EVER!
Grandmother’s Birthday is: March 26th
She was born in the year 1378 in Wind River, Wyoming.
Typically we do something to honor her presence privately or together with our students. This year we will celebrate her birthday with a 3-hour, Virtual Open House this Sunday March 26th from 3 – 6 p.m. EDTime. Drop in for a few minutes to say hello and tell us how Grandmother has impacted your life ~ or simply enjoy hearing others stories. Stay for a few minutes or for awhile!
At the beginning of each hour Grandmother will speak to us for about 10 – 15 mins about something important to her. The rest of the time will be a chance for us to visit and share stories about how Grandmother has helped us along the way. Some of you have just met Grandmother while others have known her since 1989 when I first started channeling her.
True to Grandmother’s generous nature — she has asked that we gift you the 30-min. Audio Podcast from the Monthly Focus called “Humanity’s Largest Speedbump”. This explains the intense energy of the last few weeks of March. You can find this gift on the Celebration Open House menu when you register.
There is no cost for the celebration. If you can’t make the live event, feel free to register so you can enjoy the replay. We will be on Zoom so we can all see each other. I imagine you will recognize some familiar classmates and meet some new friendly faces. Can’t wait to see you!

Wow – this year has been off to a fast start. It seems a few minutes ago we were saying happy new year, and now we are into February. I hope the month is going well for you. I will keep this note brief as we will have more to share in March – with some exciting plans ahead. March is Grandmother’s birth month when she was last here on the Earth in the 1400’s. So we like to celebrate her every March. Without her wisdom and love, none of our services or classes would have been possible.
Meanwhile, we have some great classes coming up that I encourage you to consider. SOAR is for all learners and a place to find amazing, ongoing intuition practice and deep community. The Past Life Regression and Medical Intuition Trainings are for helping professionals only. Use your breath to navigate with your intuition
One of the hardest things to do when using your intuition is to know when you are finished and ready to go forward, or when to linger to gather more information. As we teach in the Access Intuition 101 class you want to have a notable way to open your intuition and to close it off when you are finished. However, what about all the pieces in between? You want to stay in a relaxed, alpha brain wave pattern as much as possible when you are using your intuition. A great way to navigate with your intuition and to stay calm and relaxed is to use a slow and deliberate deep breath between observations. This will help you note, or punctuate when one observation is complete energetically and signal to yourself that you are ready to move on to noting the next invisible piece of information. It is like saying to yourself and the source you are channeling 'Thanks, I got it. I am ready for more information.' You can also use a slow, elongated breath while you are connecting intuitively to linger and amplify your awareness of an observation. The sheer act of this slower, elongated breath keeps you focused on what you are paying attention to — at the same time it will allow more details and clarity to be amplified. Try this tip and enjoy practicing with your intuition.

"Befriend Your Body as Your Frontline Intuition Assistant"
Your body is one of your most exquisite allies. It is with you 24-7, has infinite functions, and is total committed to being as balanced as it can possibly be at any given moment. Although you may not always appreciate it, your body is always doing its best to keep you going. Despite what stressors and challenges you face, what you do or don’t do for your body — it never gives up on you.
One of the many roles your body serves is to show you when there are major energetic shifts happening that affect you. Most of these shifts are not visible, however your body does register them. These energy shifts can take endless forms such as: your body showing you that a choice you are making does not feel right; there is a change in timing for your plans; someone important to you is not doing well, or is about to call; something major is going on in the world; you have forgotten something important; someone is not being truthful … and the list goes on. The best way to engage this frontline intuition assistant called your body is to create a signal, what we call a “body cue” that lets you know that your body has noted an energy shift and is trying to communicate that to you. The body cue or signal can be visual, something you hear, a felt sensation, a smell or even a taste. Ask your body to cue you when it wants you to pay attention to an energetic shift more closely. When you sense the signal go off take a few moments, breathe, shift your awareness to your intuition-mode of being quiet and receptive. Then ask your body to show you what it wants you to notice about the energy within or around you that is shifting. You may want to develop a series of short, yet open questions to help you focus in more closely. Questions like ‘Is this shift mine or someone else’s?’ ‘Are you (body) sensing an untruth or discrepancy?’ ‘Is what you (body) are trying to show me affect my health / work / relationships?’
Take a few moments when your body cues you to open up your intuition and pay attention more deeply. By doing so you can befriend your body and make use of this 24-7 frontline intuition assistant in real and playful ways. Try this tip and enjoy practicing with your intuition.

Hi Everyone
Hope you are enjoying your summer and getting some time for sun, fun, fresh produce and revitalization. Whenever August arrives, I feel a twinge of melancholy thinking that summer is too short. Then I realize that we don't really need winter boots till November or December, so best I not worry about winter today. This month we are proud to bring you a new 4-hour class called CH2: Channeling For Others. It is the perfect follow up after the Foundation class Access Intuition 101. YOUR MONTHLY INTUITION TIP
"Remember Not Everything You Feel Is Yours"
With energy and your intuition expanding daily, it is important to know that everything you pick up on, or sense energetically may not actually be your own. The more we use our intuition — the more we can naturally pick up on things energetically. This is part of the reason that in all of our classes we remind you to have a protocol for turning your intuition skills on when you want to use them, and off when you are done focusing. This helps minimizing picking up on things energetically / intuitively without permission.
That said, highly charged energy such as chaos, injury or illness, worry, fear, big changes in patterns or in someone’s life can be felt quite easily. This is normal and you need not worry if you do pick up on a highly charged energy or event. Ideally, however, you do want to have a way to check in to determine if what you might be feeling is actually even yours.
A helpful tip that we mention in the Access Intuition 101 class, is to check if something that comes up suddenly in your awareness is actually yours or perhaps belonging to someone else. We teach that if you suddenly feel off or feel a physically symptom with no reason to feel that ache or pain — then chances are you have simply picked up on someone else energetically. It could someone in your vicinity physically, someone that is close to you but not necessarily near you, or even something more global that is occurring.
The best way to handle this is to have a body cue or signal within you to bring to your attention that you are off, or feeling someone else’s energy. Next, using your intuition, your Guide, your body or muscle testing hone in by asking the question “Is this mine, or is what I am feeling belong to someone else or is it more global/cosmic?” If you sense it is someone else’s you can get more specific by asking “Are they known to me or unknown?” If they are known ask “Do I need to know who it is?” And if so, just have them pop into your awareness. There is no need to go further than this. You don’t want to intrude on their privacy. Just knowing it is not yours and who it belongs to is enough. If the person is unknown to you thank their energy for making their energy known. Allow one word to pop intuitively into your mind that represents what you are feeling. Then leave the exploration at that. If it appears to be more global or cosmic also ask your intuition to give you one word that represents what you are picking up on. Once you have the key word you may want to explore more about this global or cosmic shift by asking your Guide. Another helpful tool is to write the key word down and then draw it on a paper. As you draw, allow your higher self to grasp any of the bigger picture details to pinpoint any key information about timing, agendas, geography etc. that are relevant to know at this time.
Most often by taking a few moments to realize it may not be you that you are picking up on is enough to shift the energy. Once you have asked these key questions, create a gesture that honors that you picked up on this larger energy — then use this gesture to simply let it go. This should only take a brief moment to do. Once you have done your gesture you will most often feel the energy or physical symptom lift/dissipate. Our intuition picks up on many things. As you do your best navigating your intuition ‘on’ and ‘off’ switch remember that we all pick up on things that are not our own from time to time. It does not mean you are doing anything wrong. It just means your intuition picked up on something unusual or highly charged around you. Now you have tools to help shift that energy that likely is not yours — easily and at will. Try this tip and enjoy practicing with your intuition.

"Why Using Your Intuition May Not Feel Different These Days"
Historically the Veil or bandwidth between the every day walking world and the Spirit World was very thick —and difficult to penetrate. In the last few decades this Veil or fabric that keeps the visible and invisible worlds separate has been steadily thinning for a host of different reasons. All of which are very positive.
Before the thinning of the veil it was very hard to access information from the invisible, more etheric realms. This is why we hear stories of people having connections, visions, messages under times of crisis, near death, being hit by lightening or only with incredible discipline.
These days it is super easy to connect with invisible higher wisdom — but unless you know this, and update your paradigms, you may still think it is hard to connect using our intuition. You may think you have to be in 'the zone' or meditate deeply, or have it feel differently than your everyday awareness. So even though you likely are connecting with your intuition, the natural tendency is to doubt it because you may not feel different.
The good news, or maybe the disappointing news is that connecting with your intuition and higher sources of wisdom will not feel different than your every day awareness. You likely will feel a bit more relaxed, but other than that, your knowingness, intuition and ability to connect will just 'be there' when you turn your attention to it.
This is why we teach people to have an opening and a closing to add some more formality to your intuition, because it is so easy these days to access. This is why we teach in the Access Intuition 101 Guidelines to take the first thing that pops into your awareness, and that you will most often feel like you are making it all up. It feels this way because it is actually is so easy to tune in these days.
So celebrate this evolution. Put a tiny bit of playful formality into turning your intuitive awareness on and off. Decide where you want to tune into before you start. Then take those first impressions and let things flow. Have fun and give thanks that we live in the here and now and that no lightening bolts are needed to connect with ever so much more! Try this tip and enjoy practicing with your intuition.

Happy December to All
A few short weeks and we will be moving into a new year altogether. I am not sure if you are noticing it, but in some ways this month feels surreal. At first I thought it was the time crunch of fitting too much into to wrapping up 2024, planning for 2025 and getting holiday plans all packed in. Then I went back and re-read the Monthly Focus of ‘Righting Our Power’ and of course, Grandmother reminded us that we will feel moments of surrealness as we step into our original power this month — for possibly the first time in our lives. There is certainly never a dull moment in this process of growth and evolution. I encourage you to read December’s Focus and keep it handy throughout the month.
As we wrap up this year that Grandmother termed ‘The Year Where Peace Reigns’ let us all take a moment to send love and healing to people and areas in the world that are not yet experiencing sufficient peace, give thanks for the abundance of peace we can and do enjoy — and be proud of our individual part in holding the frequency of peace steady in this precious world we all live in. We are so glad to be here with you at this time in the world. YOUR MONTHLY INTUITION TIP
"Save Time — Shop Using Your Intuition"
A few years back we shared a great intuition tip on how to shop for others using your intuition. We thought it a great idea to revisit that tip for this holiday season.
Step 1: Register the person you are gifting in your body or mind. You want to think clearly about the person you are shopping for. Hold a picture of them your mind's eye or how they feel to you in your heart or body. You are not trying to go into their personal energy field, just to have them visit with you in your mind. Like a phone call, without the phone.
Step 2: Make your list brainstorming about several ideas of what you want to gift them. Remember, to include gifts that are not material. Perhaps they might want a gesture of kindness for others or time with you doing something special. Be creative in your brainstorming. Then take their energy to each of the gifts. Imagine fast forwarding (be playful) yourself in time and picture them receiving each of the gifts in turn. How do they react? Which one or ones seem to be their favorite? Don’t think about how you think they will react. This is not a thinking exercise. Use your intuition and see, feel, sense how they will respond to each idea. Imagine they are there with you responding. You may even hear their voice making a comment about a gift. Again, just be playful.
Step 3: Next, head out to shop or to arrange your gesture of kindness. Use your body to let you know if the perfect gift you are shopping for is even in that chosen store. This saves you time. You can also use the same intention for checking which store has the best pricing. Feel your energy or body opening up in the chest or solar plexus area that would be indicating a 'yes' or being more closed or a sinking/heavier feeling for a 'no' the gift is not here. I encourage teenagers or kids to use the image of saloon doors from an old western movie swinging open for a 'yes' and swinging closed for a 'no'. You can try this as well. Your body and higher wisdom knows if the gift is there or not without you even having to get out of your car or get on the bus, or putting on your shoes for a stroll to the location. Those of you who know how to muscle test/use applied kinesiology are familiar with these tools.
Step 4: When you are in the store/location and making your final choice/selection you may have to refine your search considering color, size, make, amount for a gift certificate etc. To select the perfect gift, bring the person you are buying for back into your mind or heart. Imagine you are showing them the item - like they are right beside you as you choose. Imagine listening for their final feedback about whether or not they will like the gift, the gesture or if an item will fit, or whether or not they will use it. You know what their voice sounds like, so pull their energetic self in for a fleeting/brief consult. Again, be playful and take the first thing that pops into your head by way of how they will answer. "I love it" "It's too small" "I like the blue one" "No I wouldn’t use this" are some of the things you may hear in your 'mind's ears'.
~ These quick and playful pointers save me tons of time while shopping for my friends and family. I find this way to shop especially helpful with teens and clothing. It is near impossible to even try finding something they would wear based on your taste as a parent. Remember to respect your loved-one’s energy by inviting their essence to advise you. You are not wanting to go into their home, or body. Just focus to bring them in for a consult inside your own mind’s eye. You are briefly focusing with one specific purpose. An intuitive brush with their preferences however can make a special occasion even more special - when you are at least considering their preference in the mix.

Years ago a wonderful woman named Isabella made the best date squares we have ever tasted and sold them at the Guelph Farmers Market. They were cakey, not too sweet and were perfect as a dessert, breakfast or 4 pm snack. From 1993 -1996 we had a Health Network with a café on site. We ordered a tray of Isabella's date squares every Saturday for the café and they were gone by mid-week. For years after she retired we tried various recipes and combinations of recipes … till we settled on this one. An ode to Isabella. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Many of our students in the in-person classes got to enjoy them over the years. Lori crafted the recipes over time. I am the official baker (and taster).
WILSON-HOPE DATE SQUARES
Quick note before you start: If you are gluten conscious, the recipe works just substitute the wheat flour with oat flour. For gluten free guests and classes, blend up oats into the same amount of flour. Otherwise I use unbleached white flour at home.
This recipe is made for a 9 x 13 inch pan. If you have only a few mouths to feed, you might half the ingredients although
A) You might change your mind after you start eating them and B) That is what a freezer is for. Plus they are super delicious cold right out of the freezer.
Date Mix
2 Bags/blocks of Pitted Dates (approx. 5 Cups)
2 cups of Water or just enough to be level with top of dates in sauce pan
1 capful of Vanilla Extract
1 capful of Almond Extract (don’t omit, this is the secret ingredient)
• Simmer until dates are soft. Stir them until smooth or use blend with hand mixer. Remove any date pits that might have gotten in the bag. Add vanilla and almond extract near the end.
Blend Mix Wet Ingredients
11/2 cup Shortening
2 cups loosely packed Brown Sugar – blend together with a mixer or wooden baking spoon
Mix Dry Ingredients Well
3 1/2 cups Oatmeal
3 cups Flour (unbleached or for Oat flour, blended Oats + add another 1/2 cup)
2 tsp of Baking Soda
1 1/2 tsp of Salt
• Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and fold in lightly
• Next create a second wet mixture by adding 2 more tsp Vanilla extract and 1 tsp of Almond extract to a cup of milk or water (whichever you prefer)
• The mixture will be a bit loose and dry at this point, so start sprinkling the extra cup of milk or water with additional extracts in it into the mix as you fold it. At this point, you are not really stirring, aim more to scoop and turn it in the bowl so it stays nice and clumpy. If the mix still has more dry parts, sprinkle in some water just until it is lightly damp but don’t overdo.
• Put a little shortening on the pan.
• Put a little more than half of the oat mix into the bottom of the pan. Don't push it down too much. Clumpy is good. Pour in the date mix on top of that. Smooth date mixture over the bottom oat layer.
• Add the rest of the oat mixture literally in clumps to cover the top of the dates. It may not seem like it will cover the top but it will. If you need to spread it out more, just move chunks around. Don't smooth it out as clumpy works best. When it cooks it will spread, but you want the top part to be cakey and clumpy. That is the best part.
• Cook in oven at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, depending on your oven. When done, the top will become more golden or light brown . If the top seems still slightly shiny like you think it could take a couple more minutes to cook, take it out. It will still keep cooking and setting.
• If you are freezing it, cutting it into 1-2 inch strips once it is cooled.
• Baker’s tip: When you are sneaking a bite from the freezer, let it thaw only slightly first before eating it as it is much more tasty that way.

Welcome to 2025 which promises to be an exciting year of change and deepened relationship with self. January can be a time of adjustment for us all as we come out of the busy Holiday season (which I think we should simply rename the 'Busy Season') and align ourselves with our goals and vision for 2025. Since this is to be year that Grandmother is calling 'The Year Where Our Child Within Can Grow' we can look forward to more play, creativity and inner light flowing. It will be a relief to have that precious child within us all feel safe and comfortable to grow. I am sure there will be some uncomfortable moments as well as we honor how hard it has been to navigate so much of our lives alone. We will have to remember to be gentle with ourselves and keep our Adult-Selves handy to be sure to be that safe container in which we can grow. "Save Time — Shop Using Your Intuition"
A few years back we shared a great intuition tip on how to shop for others using your intuition. We thought it a great idea to revisit that tip for this holiday season.
Step 1: Register the person you are gifting in your body or mind. You want to think clearly about the person you are shopping for. Hold a picture of them your mind's eye or how they feel to you in your heart or body. You are not trying to go into their personal energy field, just to have them visit with you in your mind. Like a phone call, without the phone.
Step 2: Make your list brainstorming about several ideas of what you want to gift them. Remember, to include gifts that are not material. Perhaps they might want a gesture of kindness for others or time with you doing something special. Be creative in your brainstorming. Then take their energy to each of the gifts. Imagine fast forwarding (be playful) yourself in time and picture them receiving each of the gifts in turn. How do they react? Which one or ones seem to be their favorite? Don’t think about how you think they will react. This is not a thinking exercise. Use your intuition and see, feel, sense how they will respond to each idea. Imagine they are there with you responding. You may even hear their voice making a comment about a gift. Again, just be playful.
Step 3: Next, head out to shop or to arrange your gesture of kindness. Use your body to let you know if the perfect gift you are shopping for is even in that chosen store. This saves you time. You can also use the same intention for checking which store has the best pricing. Feel your energy or body opening up in the chest or solar plexus area that would be indicating a 'yes' or being more closed or a sinking/heavier feeling for a 'no' the gift is not here. I encourage teenagers or kids to use the image of saloon doors from an old western movie swinging open for a 'yes' and swinging closed for a 'no'. You can try this as well. Your body and higher wisdom knows if the gift is there or not without you even having to get out of your car or get on the bus, or putting on your shoes for a stroll to the location. Those of you who know how to muscle test/use applied kinesiology are familiar with these tools.
Step 4: When you are in the store/location and making your final choice/selection you may have to refine your search considering color, size, make, amount for a gift certificate etc. To select the perfect gift, bring the person you are buying for back into your mind or heart. Imagine you are showing them the item - like they are right beside you as you choose. Imagine listening for their final feedback about whether or not they will like the gift, the gesture or if an item will fit, or whether or not they will use it. You know what their voice sounds like, so pull their energetic self in for a fleeting/brief consult. Again, be playful and take the first thing that pops into your head by way of how they will answer. "I love it" "It's too small" "I like the blue one" "No I wouldn’t use this" are some of the things you may hear in your 'mind's ears'.
~ These quick and playful pointers save me tons of time while shopping for my friends and family. I find this way to shop especially helpful with teens and clothing. It is near impossible to even try finding something they would wear based on your taste as a parent. Remember to respect your loved-one’s energy by inviting their essence to advise you. You are not wanting to go into their home, or body. Just focus to bring them in for a consult inside your own mind’s eye. You are briefly focusing with one specific purpose. An intuitive brush with their preferences however can make a special occasion even more special - when you are at least considering their preference in the mix.
