Life Experiences That Shaped My Intuition

A Personal Note from Lori ... 

This is the feature everyone has asked for since I began teaching in 1994. It is one I have resisted my whole career. Everyone has always asked me to tell more personal stories about my life. They want to hear about growing up and the experiences that have inspired developing my intuition. They want to hear about the highs and lows of using intuition, my key learning points, and what has allowed me to endure and continue serving against many odds. They want to know more about my personal relationship with my Spirit Guide, about sensational things that have happened. 

And I do have so many incredible stories to share. Historically and very purposefully, as a teacher I have not shared many of them. As your Trainer, I want you to focus on you — not on me. I want you to learn your skills and walk away filled up with your own experience — not reflecting on mine. I want you to chart your own path and create your own stories — not compare them to mine or anyone else who might be privileged to have gone a few steps before you. I have also endured a ton of hardship in my life and on this path bringing intuitive skills to others. Hardships that I do not want to have people worrying that they might also have to face on their path — because in all honestly, you likely won't. Or ... you already have, and then some.

In my 63 years I have seen allot of life. I have taught over 19,000 people intuition skills since 1983. I have done 14 years of a weekly radio show. I spent 8 years training 10 Trainers to be certified to teach my work. I have served thousands of unique clients in my private practice and marked over 7000 medical intuition scans over the course of 20 years.  I have four grown children, and have sheltered four more vulnerable teens over a course of seven years in our home.  I have lived with  23 years of chronic pain, been a single parent to young children, survived surreal business sabotages, experienced the death of both of my parents and ... as a social worker — seen pretty much the underbelly of what life can throw at us all. 

In all of this, I have also been blessed with: a fierce bond with nature; opened-eyes from a very young age; a quest for truth and connection; a deep love for family, humanity and  for serving others. In the balance of hardships and a rewarding career that has touched so many far corners of this vast Universe — I feel very blessed. 

On the rare occasions that I do share a bit more of my person life and experiences with my students and colleagues, I see the twinkle in their eyes and hearts at our shared humanness. And so, as much as I have resisted this sharing more of my personal stories — it feels the right time to do so now. Grandmother, Stewart, cherished students and colleagues have been encouraging me to do this — forever. 

I have chosen Audio Podcasts so you can hear my voice but not be distracted by watching me. I make no effort to hide my lack of familiarity or desire to master social media. I hope I have safely passed the age when I will never have to like it. That said – telling stories I can do. I have chosen 30-minutes as a baseline, because I cannot say anything in 15-second sound-bytes. Having done radio shows for years, I believe that listening to someone allows us to go more seamlessly into our own thoughts and reflections. It allows us to be present to our own experiences, hearts and imagination easier.

I welcome this opportunity to share some of my personal stories and photos with you here. I hope, as with all of my work, you will be inspired to be your best-self too in this shared journey of life.
